Oversee financial accounting and finance operations for the German entity while the supporting organisation European Lead, develop and mentor a small finance team, ensure high standards of performance and efficiency Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting processes, including legal financial statements under German GAAP (HGB) and support IFRS reporting / group consolidation Take ownership of budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning and working capital management Deliver accurate management reporting, financial insights and ad-hoc analysis to support strategic decision-making Act as a trusted business partner to stakeholders across multiple functions and countries Coordinate external audits and cooperation with auditors, tax advisors and regulatory bodies Ensure compliance with legal, tax and regulatory requirements Drive continuous improvement, automation and standardization of finance processes as well as controls

Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a comparable qualification In-depth experience in accounting and finance, including leadership responsibility Strong knowledge of German legal accounting (HGB) and German tax regulations, especially VAT Ideally initial experience in a regulated environment such as financial services, fintech, payments, banking or a similar industry is excluded Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and reporting Strong systems knowledge search as Power BI, including ERP and reporting tools, with excellent Excel skills Analytical mindset combined with commercial awareness and strong problem-solving abilities Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders Fluency in English is essential as well as a professional level of the German language
