Software Engineer Conversational AI (m/f/d)

Consulting and technical implementation: You analyze the requirements of our customers and advise them in the technical implementation of Conversational AI Usecases. AI Agent Orchestration: You develop hybrid solutions that intelligently combine classic flow with Generative AI nodes to create autonomous and actionable AI agents.

Prompt Engineering and Conversation Design: You design and optimize complex system prompts, personas and guardrails to ensure that the AI responds securely and in line with the brand in the customer context, sounds natural and offers a pleasant user experience.

Tool Use & Integration: By connecting REST APIs (backend integration) or MCP (Model Context Protocol), you can not only chat, but perform real actions in third-party systems ('Agentic AI''). Of course, the connection to contact center platforms (CCaaaS) or telephone systems (PBX) is one of your tasks.

Logic & Scripting: You use JavaScript/TypeScript to validate the output of the LLMs, transform data formats and hit the bridge between low code and complex business logic.

Code Competence: You bring solid basic knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, also in Python, as this is also the key in the age of Generative AI to make data useful to the agent. Fascination GenAI: You work intensively with the functioning of LLMs (e.g. GPT, Claude, Gemini) and understand basic concepts such as Context Window, Tokens and Embeddings. Experiences in relevant Conversational AI platforms such as Cognigy, Parloa, Google, Kore.ai or Amazon Lex are desirable.

Prompting Intuition: You have a talent to formulate instructions to an AI so precisely that the desired result is achieved and quickly realize why a prompt fails.

Web affinity: You understand the basics of modern web technologies and know what is behind terms like HTTP request, API and Frontend/Backend.

Consulting-Mindset: You don't just want to work out tasks, but understand what problem is really to be solved to provide the best possible technical advice. Language knowledge: Very good German and good English skills allow you not only to write dialogues, but also to critically evaluate and fine tune the quality of generated AI texts.
