Specialist in Laboratory Medicine - Immunology (m/f/d)

The Institute of Immunology in the UKE is part of the Centre for Diagnostics. His tasks are laboratory diagnostics of immune-mediated diseases, research and academic teaching for students in the field of immunology. It also conducts scientific investigations as a service. The medical laboratory accredited in DIN EN ISO 15189 routinely performs the following analysis: Immunophenotyping by flow cytometry Determination of autoantibodies by immunofluorescence and solid phase assays Diagnostics of monoclonal gammaopathies using immunofixation electrophoresis Allergy diagnosis Protein diagnosis (e.g. ELISA) Immunology is a central subject for almost all areas of medicine, as the immune system is involved in most diseases and more and more treatment methods are available based on new findings about the immune system. The diagnostic laboratory follows the needs of the medical care through the continuous use of new technologies and examination procedures.
