Engineer Physical Testing Laboratory / Fiber Optic (m/f/d)

Implementation, analysis and further development of physical tests on optical connectors and hybrid plug systems Planning, implementation and validation of test sequences according to the V model or comparable development and test methods Material and component evaluation of glass fiber connectors (e.g. ferrules, glass fibers and housings) Evaluation and documentation of measurement results and derivation of optimization measures Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and standards (e.g. IEC, ISO, EIA, Telcordia) Close cooperation in the project team

Completed studies in the field of physics, photonics, electrical engineering or a comparable discipline Multiannual professional experience in the testing laboratory, in measurement technology or in the field of optical systems / glass fiber technology Knowledge of optical measurement technology (e.g. OTDR, spectroscopy and performance and damping measurements) Experience in dealing with relevant standards, testing methods and qualification requirements Analytical thinkability and a structured and independent way of working Safe handling of evaluation software; Knowledge of LabVIEW is beneficial Good knowledge of German and English in word and writing
