The SFB 1280 Research Center “Extinction Learning” is a joint of research projects funded by the German Research Foundation in the fields of psychology, medicine, neuroinformatics and biology. Scientists from the Ruhr-Universität Bochum as well as the University of Duisburg-Essen and three other locations cooperate to investigate extinction learning.

General secretarial work (e.g. accounting and procurement, organisation of meetings etc.) independent management of the accounts of the SFB 1280 (medium retrieval, forwarding, interim and final proof, budgeting) Processing of personnel matters (adjustment, administration, contact point for employees) planning and supervision of events (meetings, colloquia, congresses) with national and international guests together with the team Support for project work (e.g. events, research, PR) Representation in the Department of Biopsychology

a successfully completed training in the commercial sector or in an administrative area or multiannual professional experience in the above-mentioned fields of activity good communication skills and an independent, responsible working style a good numerical understanding (booking, calculations, time-limit control, etc.) well-founded knowledge of common office software (Excel, Word) very good knowledge of German and good English in word and writing Experiences in third-party management and budget systems are advantageous
