Research Assistant – Climate-Neutral Buildings (m/f/d)

As part of the Dok program, you will receive your doctorate at Fraunhofer ISI, which is based on a four-year contract. The preparation of the dissertation takes place at the interface of project work and independent scientific work with a strong focus on current issues in applied research. You develop an existing model for simulating energy needs in buildings and quarters and support the strategic orientation of the model architecture. You deal with energy-economic and energy-technical issues for national and international clients from business and politics. You work mainly on the topics of climate-neutral buildings, heat networks and heat transfer, taking an interdisciplinary perspective that combines technology, economy and politics. You use a variety of methods, including technological modeling, data analysis, and spatial GIS analyses. You are involved in the processing of interdisciplinary (application-based) research and consulting projects and work in different project teams. In the projects you are increasingly taking responsibility and continue to develop in project management.

Graduate or Master's degree in Business Informatics, Business Informatics, Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering, Economics or a related degree course Energy-related knowledge and ideally complemented by building and district heating-related knowledge as well as the ability to quickly work into new topics Interest in driving your own scientific skills through a PhD and further scientific development as well as profile formation To contribute motivation through applied research to the success of the energy transition Joy in team work with interdisciplinary questions and a high degree of self-employment and cooperation readiness Good expressability in German and English as well as the ability to present work results in a convincing manner in writing and orally
