As part of the Dok program, you will receive your doctorate at Fraunhofer ISI, which is based on a four-year contract. The preparation of the dissertation takes place at the interface of project work and independent scientific work with a strong focus on current issues in applied research. You develop an existing model for simulating energy needs in buildings and quarters and support the strategic orientation of the model architecture. You deal with energy-economic and energy-technical issues for national and international clients from business and politics. You work mainly on the topics of climate-neutral buildings, heat networks and heat transfer, taking an interdisciplinary perspective that combines technology, economy and politics.
