Chief Engineer Network Architecture SatCom (m/f/d)

As Chief Engineer Netzarchitektur SatCom (m/w/d) you assume the technical responsibility for the future-oriented network and system architecture of SatComBw4. Their focus is on the design of the network architecture and the system-side integration of satellite-specific components into a military communication system. The following activities are expected: Design and approval of architectural decisions and interface specifications within the program Integration of floor and payload segments at system level and evaluation of technical contributions from partners (m/w/d) Coordination and joint maintenance of the interface between satellite-based and terrestrial tactical network architecture Projektleiter (m/w/d) Assessment of technical risks with regard to availability, quality of service, behaviour under disturbance and scaling Projektleiter (m/w/d) System-side assessment of waveform and payload options in cooperation with the relevant Systems Engineering

Complete study of communications technology, electrical engineering, computer science or a comparable discipline Long-standing professional experience in distributed network and system architectures as well as several years of experience in an architecture-driven role Detectable experience in the successful implementation of architectures in long-distance, carrier or operator networks System understanding for satellite routes and their impact on network design Experience with systems with formal detection, admission or accreditation requirements Experience in the field of military satellite communication or with satellite floor segments of advantage Very good English knowledge of word and writing as well as good German knowledge of advantage High communication and enforcement capability in cooperation with different stakeholders and a sovereign occurrence readiness to travel
