In this role, you are responsible for the interface between Procurement and the Research & Development (R&D) team. You bring your procurement knowledge – market analysis, supplier expertise and external insights – into the development process to optimize costs, quality and technology. In addition, you will show your expertise by translating R&D requirements into clear procurement parameters for operational implementation.

This role contributes to the PAPCP at global locations. Your key stakeholders include electronic component suppliers, Component Management, Category Management, R&D, PPM, SQE, IE etc.

You are mainly responsible for:

Leadership of the NPI team to advance the implementation of the Gate-Model process in the entire Procurement organization, with key contributions to the Make-vs-Buy decision process. Activity as a central contact person for checking and updating the Procurement-Gate-Model checklist. selection of prototype and final production material suppliers in line with product cost targets, requirements for the future product footprint, time-to-market expectations and procurement strategies – together with the relevant procurement teams – while ensuring sustainable quality and costs. Estimate the initial costs and quality and ensure that the defined product cost and quality objectives are met. You will be part of a dynamic, global team where you can unfold and be successful.

Funded knowledge and joy in working with the gate-mountain process and the global industrial market More than 5 years of experience and advanced skills in electronics development and NPI development Complete study with proven experience in component engineering and procurement during the NPI phase Deep knowledge and skills in electronics development and NPI development (Optional) Experience as a Component Engineer with DCS systems Passion for leadership and communication and innovative approaches in these areas English language skills Valid work permit for the EU
