Design Engineer Insulation and Cold Rooms (m/f/d)

You are a contact person for technical insulation in boats. You define the insulation systems to be used for the different areas of use and equip acoustic and thermal insulation systems. You develop and construct sound/heat insulation components for the ship structure and pipelines, as well as cooling rooms and sound insulation doors for use in 3D CAD boats. The creation of order and test specifications, technical descriptions and documentation is your responsibility You talk to customer representatives and subcontractors. You ensure that the relevant regulations for the use of insulation are complied with, for example, in terms of fire protection and environmental compatibility. You carry out technical clarifications in the field and across the field You perform the data input in complex computer systems (Siemens Teamcenter, SAP, MS Access, etc.) and occasional testing of components in Germany and abroad.

You have a technical study or training as a mechanical engineer You have at least 2 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering/shipping You have technical knowledge in the field of insulation and the installation of cooling rooms in shipbuilding and are familiar with heat transfer calculations. You are familiar with the work with regulations and regulations. The following rules are relevant to this point: MED, SOLAS, IMO FTPC. You have experience in building documents creation / control, as well as knowledge in request and verification management You have knowledge of Microsoft Office products and know yourself with Siemens NX and SAP and have job-specific IT/CAD/CAM/CAE knowledge.
