General secretarial and administrative duties for the Research Department, including organising business trips for group members. Technical and organisational support for meetings and small events (room bookings, catering coordination, participant communication). Maintaining regular contact with the local administrative units of the Max Planck Institute and the general administration of the Max Planck Society. Local administrative support for visitors and new group members (e.g., hiring-related processes in coordination with administration and assistance in finding accommodation). Reporting to the Scientific Coordinator of the Department.

Completed vocational training as an office administrator or comparable qualification, or a completed bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or initial professional experience in an assistant, office management, or administration role, ideally in an academic or research environment. Fluency in written and spoken German and English. Excellent organizational skills, a strong eye for detail, and a reliable, deadline-oriented way of working. Confident use of common office software and online tools; openness to participating in and organising online meetings. A balancing service orientation, strong communication skills, and a cooperative team spirit.
