Welcome to your Home of IT! The degree program Business Informatics lasts three years and is divided into six semesters. In each semester you spend three months at REWE digitally in Cologne (practice phase) and three months at the university (theory phase). You have the opportunity to combine the dual course of study with an education as:to the specialist:in the field of application development or system integration (combi degree course), whose final exam you will be taking in the fourth semester before the IHK Cologne. In the sixth semester, you will begin the bachelor's thesis with the support of an internally supervised person of REWE digital GmbH and then receive your degree as a Bachelor of Science. Your practical phases take place in various areas of REWE digitally in Cologne. We take into account your strengths and interests. Using modern methods, you will be able to digitally shape up-to-date REWE projects and get to know the following areas of the company: Business Analysis (with contact to customers:inside) Development (for example, you will learn about software engineering and databases) Testing (test automation, test method) System operation (here you work with networks and server systems) Industrial systems You can test your learned knowledge and thus contribute to the success of the company during your studies. Know How You Learn In Theory: You will spend your theoretical phases at our University of Applied Sciences in Bergisch Gladbach. Depending on the choice of your focus, you will receive, among other things, sound knowledge in: Principles of Business Administration Business processes and operational information systems Software Engineering Database systems IT consulting Business English Up to the optional IHK final examination, vocational education is also taking place during these phases.
