In this role, you take responsibility for architectural decisions that enable faster product delivery, reduce integration costs and unlock new digital sales potential. As an E2E IT Architect, you are the leading architect for our modern commercial technology landscape and create the digital backbone that connects our central business systems such as CRM (Salesforce), PIM, PLM and ERP. You define the central integration strategy and ensure the seamless integration, security, scalability and consistency of our IT architecture. You act as a central point of contact for technical architecture topics within IT and advise specialist areas as well as product teams on architecture issues and enable a flexible, resilient and future-proof technology stack that supports a variety of initiatives – from API-driven frontends to internal process automation. Architecture Vision & Design Definition and maintenance of end-to-end target architecture for all commercial and business-wide systems Design of the central integration strategy and layer (API gateway, microservices) to ensure a seamless flow of data between CRM, PIM, PLM, ERP and connected applications Significant participation in architectural decisions Standards & governance Development, documentation and enforcement of architecture standards for API design, data architecture, microservices, event-controlled communication and security concepts (OAuth 2.0, OIDC) Ensuring a loosely coupled and at the same time highly coherent system landscape within the framework of the Business Unit Architecture evaluation and approval for important IT projects Cooperation with stakeholders Close cooperation with Product Ownern (Frontend, CRM) and specialist areas to translate future requirements into a scalable and cost-effective architecture Technical advice on technical feasibility, risks and financial and non-financial impacts of business initiatives Technology evaluation & selection Continuous evaluation of new technologies, platforms and architectural approaches with a planning horizon of 12–24 months Strategic recommendations for the introduction of new technologies for the integration layer, API gateway, cloud services and other components of the enterprise stack
Training: successful completion in computer science, information technology or a comparable qualification. Experience and know-how: Multiannual experience as an IT architect, of which 3–5 years in the design of complex, distributed and integrated systems in a business environment. Detectable successes in leading a technology organization through profound transformation processes. deep, practical expertise in enterprise-wide integration patterns, API gateways (e.g. AWS API Gateway, Kong), microservices and event-controlled systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ); well-founded knowledge in the integration of CRM (Salesforce), PIM and ERP systems via APIs; experience with SQL and NoSQL data models; Expert knowledge in cloud platforms (preferably AWS; Azure/GCP of advantage), including Lambda, SQS, SNS and RDS. Personality and Operation: Embossed Strategic and Systemic Thinking Power; Ability to solve complex problems; strong leadership skills as well as the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels and align them to common goals. Languages: English language skills (in word and writing) are required; German skills at work level are desirable.
