They develop and implement international shopping strategies. They are responsible for the operational purchasing of resources, technical components, capital goods and external services. You control global purchasing structures and continuously develop them, actively contributing to the strategic orientation of the entire shopping area. They maintain and develop suppliers in several international procurement markets independently and carry out risk analyses and supplier reviews. They identify and develop new global sources of procurement through systematic market monitoring and analysis. They optimize the entire supply chain with regard to efficiency, costs and security of supply. They conduct challenging price and contract negotiations in an international context to achieve economically optimal conditions. They take over the disciplinary and professional leadership as well as the further development of the purchasing team. They work closely with the areas of development, production, quality and finance to ensure smooth processes. They use SAP S/4HANA to control, analyze and transparency the purchasing processes.

They have a degree in economic engineering, business management, supply chain management or a comparable technical or commercial qualification. They bring well-founded experience in strategic purchasing, ideally from an internationally operating industrial company – preferably focusing on the procurement of metal, plastic or electronic components. They have ideally gained first leadership experience or bring the potential and desire to take responsibility for a team. They have deep knowledge of material procurement and processing in the metal sector (e.g. machining, forming, tool construction). Knowledge of industry-specific quality standards, in particular from automotive or medical technology, are advantageous. They have ideally already worked with SAP S/4HANA and can provide appropriate system skills. They are characterized by strategic and process-oriented thinking, analyze complex relationships structured and develop practical solutions. They have proven to have identified and successfully realized potential savings and efficiency. They act independently and in their own initiative, take responsibility and convince by enforcing and aiming. They communicate safely and convincingly, perform professionally and have a high level of intercultural sensitivity. They control the German and English language at a level that is safe to negotiate; further foreign language skills are advantageous. They bring the willingness to occasional, including international missions.
