Head of Plants - Drinking Water Supply (m/f/d)

You are responsible for ensuring the supply of drinking water at any time in sufficient quantity and impeccable quality, combined with the safe, economical operation and maintenance of water recovery, treatment and storage systems. At the same time, you will lead and develop the Works division with its two Departments of Operational Management (Water Technology) and EMSR (Electric/Leittechnik) at several locations and with around 40 employees. This is a key technical role with real design space: from the refurbishment of the river basin fountains to the construction of new capacity for adaptation to climate change to its own sustainable energy production. The task in detail – an extract: Total Responsibility Works: You are responsible for water extraction, preparation and storage, as well as operation and maintenance of the waterworks, wells, high tanks and pressure boosters Management of Operational Management & EMSR: As a Technical Leadership Works (W1000 according to DVGW/TSM), you will lead the Departments of Operation Management (Water Technology) and EMSR (Electro/Guite Technology) via their department lines (Ingenieur:innen) or Team leaderships (masters:inside) and Monteur:in-teams and develop employees into more self-responsibility Supply security & mandatory tasks: You ensure the supply of drinking water at all times in sufficient quantity and impeccable quality and follow the recurring control work – including sampling and container cleaning – according to the Drinking Water Regulation Projects & maintenance: You control the major renewal and maintenance projects – including well refurbishments/overbores and high-container refurbishments – including construction time planning, cost tracking and construction site monitoring Construction & external partners: You process construction measures technically, monitor commissioned engineering offices and place tenders of greater scope in coordination with the planning office Digitalization & control technology: You develop the already combined central control system and build the remote control and OT technology Budget, Safety & Reliance: You are responsible for the area budget, including liquidity and project cost planning, are responsible for the entrepreneurial obligations in the workplace protection sector (chairman of the Work Protection Committee) and participate in the higher-level call readiness
