Head of Department Business & Engineering Applications (m/f/d)

To build and develop our business, central and engineering applications, we are looking for a management personality for the administration department. Together with your management team, you are responsible for the stable, secure and sustainable operation of the applications and actively shape the further development of our operating and platform landscape. The group PLM, engineering applications, ERP operation and development, as well as the central and business applications are located in the department. You build the unit in coordination with the Director Digital Solutions and IT. The professional and disciplinary leadership of the Application Department is yours, including the further development of structures, roles and employees. Together with the group lines, you control the further development and stable operation of the responsible application landscape. You provide a clear strategic orientation of the applications, guide target images and coordinate them closely with IT strategy, architecture and disciplines. You will coordinate the comprehensive prioritization of requirements, projects and developments together with your leadership team. Transparency over ongoing initiatives, dependencies and resources can be created through appropriate formats. You promote close cooperation between the application groups and infrastructure, architecture, security and specialist areas. The continuous modernisation of the application landscape will drive you forward together with your team and create space for innovation and standardization. Budget, capacity and resource planning are managed by you and coordinated with the IT management. You establish clear operational, support and lifecycle structures and provide reliable services for the organization. As part of the IT leadership, you actively participate in the further development of the entire IT organization.

Completed studies (economic) informatics, mechanical engineering or comparable qualification Ideally multi-year leadership experience in the IT environment, ideally in the field of applications or business systems Experience in controlling complex application landscapes (e.g. ERP, engineering or business systems) Strategic and organizational understanding Experience in transformation and modernization projects High communication and coordination at different levels Structured, pragmatic and solution-oriented mode of operation Secure knowledge of English in word and writing
