Software Developer Cloud Applications and Frontend (m/w/d)

The place is limited to 2 years. The energy transition accelerates the digitization of our energy infrastructure. With neon pulses, we create the technological basis to integrate measurement and sensor data securely, performantly and standardised in various target systems.

Our platform is productive in use and is continuously evolved. The focus is on the stability of existing middleware as well as the integration of new technologies and applications.

As a cloud developer, you develop our cloud and middleware services, deliver scalable backend processes and bring your experience to cloud architectures, deployments and interfaces. In addition, you develop Frontend components and internal tools with JavaScript and React that support configuration, monitoring and operational processes.

You work closely with developers teams, operations and product management, shape technical decisions and develop professionally continuously.

A task that challenges

Middleware Development & IoT Data Processing: You develop and operate Middleware Services for the neonpulse platform to process telemetry data securely and effectively between IoT backends and third-party systems.

Cloud Development & Service Development: You work on cloud applications with Java and Spring Boot and develop existing services functionally and technically.

Databases & SQL Optimization: You configure and optimize the connection to Microsoft SQL databases, converts complex SQL queries and uses Hibernate and JPA for high-performance data access.

Deployment & Cloud Operation: You are responsible for operating and deploying Microsoft Azure and deploying Terraform for infrastructure automation.

CI/CD Pipelines & Automation: You develop and maintain GitLab CI pipelines to ensure stable, automated build and deployment processes.

API Design & Service Communication: You implement REST APIs as well as gRPC/Protobuf interfaces for reliable service to service communication.

Frontend Tools & Internal Applications: You develop internal tools and front-end components with JavaScript and React - e.g. dashboards, configurations UIs or monitoring surfaces.

Teamwork & Platform Development: You work closely with Cloud, Backend, Frontend and Operations teams and support the development of the overall platform.

Technical background: You have a degree in computer science, engineering, information technology or comparable training with corresponding experience.

Cloud & Backend Experience: You bring at least five years of experience in the cloud and backend development - ideally in the IoT or platform environment.

Java & Databases: You have profound knowledge of Java, Spring Boot and relational databases, especially Microsoft SQL.

Cloud competence: You have experience in dealing with cloud platforms (ideally Microsoft Azure) as well as with infrastructure as code, e.g., terr...
