ON THE ROLE As a financial accountant (m/w/d), you are a key part of our team and make sure that our financial processes are right. You are responsible for the current accounting, supported by monthly and annual accounts and ensure that our figures are accurate, transparent and forward-looking at all times. You work closely with internal interfaces as well as external partners and use modern tools for efficient processes. DISCLOSURE You make sure that the monthly / quarterly and annual financial statements according to IFRS for supervised Group companies are prepared by you qualitatively high-quality and timely In addition, you create the individual degree (Bilanz / GuV) according to HGB Your tasks include the creation of monthly sales tax pre-registrations and the annual sales tax declaration as well as the quarterly/yearly tax reporting You support the implementation of key accounting requirements, reporting and quality standards The processing and clarification of accounting questions and inquiries from companies and internal departments (e.g. tax department, corporate accounting) is also part of your tasks You analyze workflows with a team and develop optimization measures to improve processes and interfaces You participate in projects for digitalization, automation and process harmonisation THE BRINGS Successfully completed commercial training, ideally with further training to the financial account holder (m/w/d) or comparable qualification Multiannual professional experience in accounting, preferably in an international environment You could gain first experience in accounting according to IFRS and HGB as well as in sales tax law Secure handling of accounting systems (preferably SAP) You have good knowledge of German and English in word and writing Safe handling of MS Office, especially Excel and a high IT affinity Analytical thinking, structured working and high accuracy You have fun working on the team WHERE WHIR DHL Group employs more than 600,000 people in 220 countries and territories.
