Head of Electrical and Control Engineering

In this responsible role, you bear the disciplinary responsibility for several technical specialist groups in engineering. You make sure that programs and projects can take advantage of coordinated electrotechnical, technical and communication and safety expertise across all phases. Exercise from line responsibility, design interfaces transparently and constructively and create the technical and organizational framework conditions in which projects can work reliably in close coordination with the engineering disciplines. You take over the disciplined leadership of the electrical engineering, control technology and communication and security technology departments within a matrix organization You promote the professional and personal development of employees. You ensure the personal and professional availability of the disciplines for programs and projects and provide clear interfaces between line, projects and operation. You develop and envisage uniform, practical standards and procedures in the responsible areas of expertise and ensure their reliable application. You support programs and projects from the line function in technical questions, prioritizations and escalations without taking over the role of the project management. You develop the field of communication and security technology and respond to demand-oriented solutions for the safe and reliable operation of critical production facilities. You will continue to shape the organizational and technical frameworks for electrotechnical safety in the field of projects, thereby mapping the function of the area-based electrical power for projects (BVEFK) in your area. In doing so, you advocate clear regulations, skills, and implementation of electrotechnical safety in everyday life.

You have a completed university degree in electrical engineering or a comparable technical qualification (at least master, diploma or comparable) with a clear electrotechnical focus. You have several years of professional and leadership experience in engineering technical facilities, ideally in the context of energy or industrial projects. You have several years of experience in the disciplinary leadership of teams in engineering and have experienced expertise in complex project environments, including in matrix organisations. You have a well-founded understanding of electro- and technical planning, realization and transfer processes in the project environment. You bring a good understanding of the organization and responsibility of electrotechnical safety in the project environment, in particular in the context of the responsible electric specialist. You work structured and binding, can set priorities and keep track of complex project situations. You communicate clearly, bindingly and value-awareness across technical and organizational boundaries. You lead with clarity, competence and trust, communicate at eye level, and you are at heart the empowerment and the professional and personal development of your team.
