Senior Underwriter Reinsurance (m/f/d)

As an underwriter and client manager (m/w/d), you are a key player for our customers in selected markets, especially in Portugal and South Africa. In this function, you are regularly traveling in these countries and represent the R+V Re at international conferences. You care and tax the business relationships and actively shape our reinsurance portfolio. Based on the precise analysis of the risk situation of your customers, you meet well-founded underwriting decisions – in trusted cooperation with an interdisciplinary team, in which experts in mathematics, insurance, law and natural sciences combine their competencies. In concrete implementation, you negotiate with customers and brokers about the design of the reinsurance contracts.

Successful studies, best of economics or mathematics Multiannual professional practice as an underwriter in a reinsurer German and English in word and writing Clear numerical affinity, strong analytical skills and entrepreneurial vision Multiannual experience in customer support, negotiation and work in interdisciplinary teams Openness to people and cultures, curiosity for new things and joy in working in complex interdisciplinary situations Self-contained and structured operation and a high self-motivation readiness to travel Good knowledge of another Romanesque language, such as Portuguese, Spanish, French or Italian, are advantageous
