As of 01.03.2026 in the Clinic and Poliklinik für Kinder- und Jugendmedizin as part of a DFG-funded special research area (CRC/TRR 205), the site is to be occupied for 3 years. In the A04 subproject of the SFB “Novel diagnostic, therapeutic and monitoring options in congenital adrenal hyperplasia” the newly established mouse models are to be used to better understand the disease mechanisms of congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) and to develop innovative therapies. The focus is on the investigation of fertility disorders and immune changes at CAH and the establishment of a cell therapy with steroid-producing cells obtained from human stem cells. In the long term, personalized treatment approaches for CAH patients are to be enabled and their quality of life is improved. .
