What we plan together The Assortment & Space division develops concepts and measures relating to assortment, shelf and market area optimization. With state-of-the-art technology and AI-assisted analytical methods, we are taking new, future-oriented ways that focus on the individual needs of our markets and customers. The optimal placement and visualization of articles on the shelf for over 3,600 REWE stores is the core of the work of the team Regal Optimization / Layouting. As a working student in our team, you support strategically highly relevant and directly tangible topics that you can experience directly in our stores. You work in the direct interface with colleagues in our team and Category Management. Through a deep insight into relevant processes of a leading trading company in the German LEH, you can expand your theoretical knowledge through practical experience. Our working students are an integral part of our young team and You often start their career after their studies with us.

What you do with us Support in the software-assisted creation of shelf plans (placement of the items on the shelf) according to customer-oriented and economic key figures – after a comprehensive incorporation, also independent takeover of the shelf placement Acquisition of product samples and price information at REWE and at our competitors in the Cologne area (car is provided) Structure of pattern placements in our “Labor” at our office location Data analysis especially in Excel and comprehensible preparation in PowerPoint Personally responsible care of important article information and images in our databases and ensuring the quality of our master data Participation in interdisciplinary assortment optimization projects and workshops Strong support for exciting special tasks Participation in team meetings and events

What we do First of all, your personality: You have a high degree of initiative, willingness to learn and enjoy teamwork. Immatrikulation in a Bachelor's or Master's degree course, with focus on BWL or a similar area. First practical experience in a trading company is of advantage, but no need. Good analytical skills and strong interest in numbers. Good MS Office knowledge, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Interest in food and products of daily need round off your profile.
