Technical Director of Change & Release Management (m/f/d)

In the IT governance team, we play a key role in ensuring that AXA Group AG's IT remains secure, stable and sustainable: we create transparency, give orientation and ensure that complex IT landscapes work reliably - today and tomorrow. We design and control central processes around change and release management, configuration and emergency management as well as IT risk management and regulatory requirements. We ensure that legal requirements are adhered to, risks are recognised and controlled responsibly at an early stage - and give other teams the security to concentrate fully on innovation and customer benefits. expert leadership and further development of change and release management across products and platforms - from request to deployment; Set standards, guidelines and work instructions and ensure their lived implementation. coaching and support of the change managers:inside, quality assurance and support of complex and critical changes; leading professional role without immediate disciplinary responsibility, with perspective on development - ideal for first leadership experience or corresponding ambition. Analysis and evaluation of change requirements incl. Risk and impact analysis as well as advice on backout/recovery strategies. Organization, moderation and follow-up of the change-advisory boards (CAB) incl. Decision and release preparation as well as optimization of the CAB governance. Planning and coordination of central release activities, control of maintenance windows and change-freeze phases as well as management of dependencies, resources and timetables. Continuous process optimization and meaningful automation; Integration into CI/CD pipelines and further development of tool support. Transparency about activities and key figures (e.g. change success rate, backout rate, lead time) and target group-oriented reporting in relevant governance bodies. Advice, training and promotion of a strong change-enablement culture; close cooperation with risk, configuration and emergency management as well as ensuring compliance and binding stakeholder management.

A completed vocational training or studies with IT reference or a comparable qualification as well as relevant professional experience in IT (e.g. operation, development, release/change management). Detectable experience in change and release management; ideally first leadership experience (scientific, project or team management) or the clear ambition to develop you in this direction. Embossed analytical and conceptual capabilities; broad understanding of IT infrastructure (networks, platforms, cloud) and application development/deployment. experience with ITIL-based processes; CAB-Moderation and release planning are advantageous. Certifications or Further trainings (e.g. ITIL, Agile, DevOps) are advantageous, but no prerequisite. Ideally experience with agile functioning (e.g. Scrum/Kanban) and DevOps practices or the willingness to develop yourself in this area. Safe handling of common change/release tools and ticket/workflow systems; Experience with CI/CD toolchains is a plus. a proactive, independent and communicative working style with high quality standards; Moderation strength, persuasiveness and ability to resolve conflict. Flowing German and good English skills.
