Head of Design and Development (m/f/d)

For a medium-sized, family-run company in medical technology, we are looking for a:m''Head of Construction and Development (m/w/d)'' for the group of companies. In this role, you bear the company-wide responsibility for all design and development activities at national and international locations with the aim of ensuring the Group's innovative and developmental power in a sustainable manner.

Herford Total responsibility for the field of construction and development at all locations of the Group Strategic orientation of global development activities Leadership, development and motivation of K&E leaderships and departments Harmonisation and continuous improvement of processes, methods, tools and standards across all sites Coordination of cross-site development projects and ensuring efficiency and quality Implementation and control of a systematic change management with appropriate software support Control and monitoring of relevant development indicators (e.g. time-to-market, quality, costs, resources) Ensuring regulatory compliance (currently ISO 13485, MDR, CE) in cooperation with group-wide quality and regulatory teams Promoting standardisation and modularisation to increase the efficiency of K&E areas Initiation and control of group-wide innovation projects Planning and implementation of strategic development projects Implementation and monitoring of risk management methods (e.g. FMEA) to minimise technical risks Promotion and control of digitalization and automation in development and product development processes Close cooperation with management, sales, production, purchasing and regulatory affairs to implement the corporate group strategy Your Benefits A responsible, varied challenge in a medium-sized family business International environment with flat hierarchies and short decision paths Activity with a lot of design and responsibility (group of companies) Performance-oriented conditions and individual training opportunities

Complete degree in mechanical engineering, engineering, medical technology or comparable 5-10 years of leadership experience in a comparable position Experience with regulatory requirements (ISO 13485, MDR, CE) Practical experience in managing development projects Knowledge of digitalization and automation Experience in continuous improvement processes English safe, Polish desirable
