Specialist in customs and export control (m/f/d)

As a specialist for customs and export control, you work closely with the export control officer. In this position, you contribute significantly to the legally compliant handling of all customs and external processes in the company and work closely with the internal departments. Your tasks: Support and representation of the Customs and Export Control Officer in all operational and administrative activities Contact person for compliance with export control requirements in the fields of export control law (DE/EU/US), the War Weapons Control Act (KrWaffKontrG), Zoll Participation in the application, administration, traceability, modification, extension and monitoring of authorisations and other notifications Monitoring of import and export operations, incl. Assessment, approval and documentation of all transactions relating to export control law (DE/EU/US), KrWaffKontrG and customs Cooperation and communication with all internal bodies and external bodies involved in the approval process (e.g. BAFA, Zoll) Participation in the preparation and monitoring of administrative checks (e.g. external audits) Support in the conduct of the War Weapons Book and in the monitoring of the inventory and demonstration and the proper storage of weapons of war Participation in the further development and continuous optimization of existing processes, including the creation of guidelines and instructions for action

Successfully completed studies, preferably in the business, legal field, ideal with a focus on external economics or commercial training with several years of relevant professional experience in the field of export control Including expertise in the field of national and international export regulations knowledge of customs law and military law desirable English language skills (in word and writing) Predictive thinking, self-responsibility work and an analytical and structured way of working Team player, organizational and communication talent, as well as a high degree of self-motivation and resilience Willingness to participate in regular training readiness to travel
