Welcome to Allianz The strategic use of data and AI continues to accelerate and has enormous potential in the financial services industry. At the same time, the requirements from the point of view of regulation, for example with the entry into force of the EU AI Regulation, are increasing. Technological development means that companies need to constantly develop and professionalise their data and AI capabilities. In this context, the new “Data/AI Governance and Strategy” team takes a central role from the beginning of 2026. It reports to the Chief Data Officer of Allianz customer and market (AKM) and coordinates activities for the strategic and professional management of data and AI as well as the associated governance processes. We are looking for reinforcement for this task. You are motivated by continuous development in a rapidly developing theme area and in a new team that requires a lot of own initiative and out-of-the-box thinking? Then get involved! This is what we expect as project manager Data/AI Governance and Strategy (m/w/d) You actively promote and develop our data & AI strategy - keywords are Use Case Portfolio, Data & AI Governance, Data Ownership, Data Quality, Data Catalogue, EU AI Regulation and many other areas You agree with relevant stakeholders in the Allianz Group (in Germany and internationally) and develop projects independently You work across areas (e.g. IT, Product Development, Enterprise Architecture, Data Governance, IT Security, Marketing and Sales, Finance, Business Processes, etc.) with the aim of gaining maximum business value from data and AI while meeting regulatory requirements You take responsibility in the establishment of processes, workflows and know-how, especially in the implementation of the EU AI regulation in the AKM.

This brings you together as project manager Data/AI Governance and Strategy (m/w/d) Completed studies in Data Science, (economic) informatics or a comparable subject area At least three years of professional experience in consulting or a comparable role focusing on strategy development Very good technical understanding in the field of artificial intelligence and the ability to transfer technological developments in the company context and to derive hypotheses, recommendations for action and relevant strategic questions Knowledge of regulatory issues from data and AI as well as their practical implementation (lean governance) Exceptional analytical skills and a strong problem-solving competence to effectively address complex strategic issues Empathic personality with sovereign appearance, high self-employment and strong skills in user-oriented communication and storytelling German knowledge and good English skills
