The Klinik für Mund-, Kiefer- und Gesichtschirurgie at the Klinikum Nuremberg offers a wide range of surgical treatments at the most modern level. These include dentoalveolary interventions such as the removal of displaced wisdom teeth, the treatment of cysts or the setting of dental implants including bone structure. As a certified cleavage center, we accompany patients with lip-kiefer gaps from birth – including advice and, if necessary, correction operations. Another focus is tumor surgery in the area of the oral cavity, the face and neck with subsequent reconstruction, often by microsurgical tissue transfer. We carry out out out out outpatient interventions on the face skin with a high aesthetic requirement. The supply of complex injuries is done using state-of-the-art technologies such as patient-specific implants and 3D printing. In addition, we treat malpositions of the jaw with individually planned orthognath surgery after detailed diagnostics

Do you want to complete your training in a demanding and highly specialized surgical field? In our Clinic for oral, jaw and plastic facial surgery, you can expect a wide range of operations, modern treatment methods and a dedicated, interdisciplinary team that intensively accompanies you on your way to the specialist or specialist.

Tasks:

• Patient care in stationary, outpatient and operative settings
• Creation of diagnosis and participation in individual treatment strategies
• Assistance in surgical interventions and gradual takeover of independent surgical activities under specialist guidance
• Structured further education for the specialist for oral, jaw and facial surgery, incl. Doctoral degree or Dr. med. dent.
• Creation of medical letters, report of findings and complete documentation in the patient system
