(Junior) Portfolio Manager Natural Gas and Biomethane | Potsdam (m/f/d)

We are looking for you as (Junior) Portfolio Manager Natural Gas and Biomethane (m/w/d) in Potsdam, Brandenburg! The Danpower Group is one of the leading energy contractors for heat, cold and electricity in Germany, with further core competencies in near and district heating. We currently operate more than 800 plants across the country, including 36 biogas plants and 11 power plants and heating plants using biomass (wood), thermal residual waste and sewage sludge. We reliably provide private households, industry, trade and public institutions.

...and here these are used: Responsibility and Tasks: You develop and define our processes and standards of the Danpower Group's natural gas and biomethane portfolio. You place our biomethane strategically and profitably on the market. In addition, you are involved in the certification of our biomethane producers and block heating power plants according to legal requirements, such as the Biomass Flow Sustainability Regulation. You take care of the procurement of CO2 certificates. You ensure the documentation of the biogas quantities in the Dena biogas register. You create forecasts and balances of the entire portfolio by means of mathematical models and internal coordination with our biogas treatment plants. You produce natural gas and biomethane quantities by standard commercial products. You check the load handling data and, if necessary, take care of the correction and coordination with our service provider for the balance sheet management. You carry out continuous portfolio assessment based on the current market situation. Operator: The optimization of heat generation plants and economic design of heat generation is also one of your tasks. Customer network: You are also responsible for contract processing with internal consumers and producers and, if necessary, for trading with external suppliers.

These are your skills... Study/training: You have successfully completed your studies in the field of BWL, renewable energies or as an industrial engineer; Alternatively, you will bring a relevant commercial vocational training with corresponding additional qualifications in the above-mentioned specialist areas. Professional experience: You have already gained experience in the energy industry. You ideally have a good understanding of European gas and energy markets such as TTF, THE, LNG or storage. Personal competencies: You work independently, solution-oriented and are characterized by a pronounced mathematical understanding. Thanks to your very good Excel knowledge – happy to add experience with Power-BI – you can also keep in mind complex data. You can master German at the native language level and speak English in a safe manner.
