They act as a central business partner*in the management, advise on key economic issues and develop forward-looking strategies. Ensure that the technical objectives are achieved efficiently and in accordance with the company guidelines and legal requirements. They actively contribute to the transformation processes associated with the commissioning of FAIR and thus contribute significantly to further expanding GSI/FAIR as a global top research and technology center.

Head of the department: You are responsible for the strategic and operational development of the areas of controlling, accounting, application management, financing and purchasing and material management at GSI GmbH. Please ensure that the relevant legal and internal requirements are complied with. They develop and implement innovative financial strategies and optimize the processes that contribute significantly to sustainable and future-oriented corporate planning. Advising the management: You advise the management in all essential technical matters of the department. Supporting sound financial analyses and expertise They are actively managing the business strategy in terms of financial decisions and strategic initiatives. Reporting: You are responsible for managing and consolidating reports for internal and external stakeholders and ensure efficient, timely reporting. You will also develop and implement new reporting structures and strategies as needed. They are responsible for the professional communication with national and international stakeholders. Professional and disciplinary leadership: They lead the team of the Financial Performance and Sourcing Management department. The department currently consists of three departments and a total of about 80 employees. Its task is to develop and continuously optimize the field of expertise in order to best support excellence in GSI and FAIR in your area of competence. Promote the development of the team and ensure that all processes are designed smoothly and sustainable. Special tasks and project management: They carry out complex special tasks and conduct cross-border projects. At FAIR GmbH, you conduct the Financial and Administrative Office (FAMO) within the framework of the project completion in the field of “FAIR Site & Buildings”.

Academic qualification: completed university studies in the field of economics, economics or comparable qualifications. Professional experience: Multiannual, comprehensive experience in cost and financial management as well as in controlling. Ideally, you have very good knowledge of purchasing management and materials management. They also have well-founded experience in contract management as well as in the conduct of contract negotiations, also at international level, and can handle legal and financial topics efficiently. You can present several years of experience in the leadership of employees. Your experience in major international projects is also desirable. Analytical skills: They have a strong ability to analyze complex issues and can derive appropriate recommendations and strategies. Communication strength: They are able to communicate complex issues in a comprehensible manner and have extensive experience in working with internal and external stakeholders. Technical knowledge: You have experience in handling PM software, SAP and the relevant tools in your area of responsibility.
