Number: MER0004938 Our specialist area deals with the development, commissioning and securing of modern chassis and sensor systems in the vehicle. One focus is on the analysis of vehicle and sensor data and the development and validation of new methods for determining and monitoring the vehicle situation. We combine practical vehicle testing with data-driven development and programming. These challenges include: Development and safeguarding of new methods for calibrating and monitoring vehicle level Analysis and evaluation of chassis, acceleration, radar, camera and LiDAR data with Python Implementation, evaluation and documentation of test drives and data collections Development of algorithms and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the calibration quality The activity can begin from December 2026.

Course in Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a comparable technical field

Very good knowledge of German in the technical and language environment (mind. C1) and good knowledge of English in word and writing

Safe handling of MS Office

Good programming knowledge in Python

Good knowledge of mathematics, especially in the fields of vector geometry, statistics and data analysis

Analytical way of thinking and a structured and independent way of working

Interest in chassis systems, driving dynamics, sensor technology and data-driven development

Knowledge in the evaluation of measurement data and the development of algorithms are advantageous

Experiences with camera, LiDAR, radar or inertial sensor systems are desirable

Ideally, first experience in process development and verification and validation of technical systems

Knowledge of statistical evaluation methods and basic knowledge in the field of vehicle technology are advantageous
