In this feature, you develop advanced, innovative edge device software for industrial embedded systems, focusing on IIoT applications. You work with international teams to design, implement and test python-based solutions while ensuring efficient communication between the edge devices and the cloud infrastructure. Finded experience with Python is required, knowledge of Java backend development is advantageous.

Your tasks: You work with international development teams to design, program and test embedded IIoT device agents in Python You participate in the development and maintenance of IIoT components, including device/application management, firmware update mechanisms and protocol retrieval You write unit, integration and function tests with focus on high code quality You opt for communication between embedded devices and cloud services in cooperation with Backend and DevOps engineers Improve CI/CD tools and their automation in embedded and cloud-based environments You research and evaluate new technologies to improve the IIoT infrastructure You analyze complex business requirements to develop efficient, flexible and scalable solutions You research and evaluate new technologies to improve our end-to-end IoT infrastructure

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Development or a Related Area At least 4 years of experience in full stack software development Knowledge of Python Development Ideal experience in Java or .NET backup development as well as the setup and maintenance of RESTful APIs Knowledge of industrial IIoT protocols (MQTT, D-Bus, REST) and cloud integrations Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, industrial automation and microservices Experience with Bitbucket and Jira Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing Knowledge of agile development and software tests Structured and systematic operation Self-motivated, result-oriented, independent and interculturally competent Team skills and excellent cooperation with other departments of the Group, external suppliers and external service staff are your key features.
