Nephrology with perspective – further education and shaping modern medicine

Would you like to advance your training in internal medicine in a targeted way and gain a thorough insight into the nephrology? The functional area of nephrology of the Klinik für Innere Medizin III at the University Hospital Jena offers you a versatile and university working environment.

They care for patients with nephrological and general-internalistic diseases and get to know a wide range of modern diagnostics and therapy – from kidney replacement therapy to transplantation medicine. A structured specialist training with rotations in various areas of internal medicine, including ZNA and intensive care unit, provides a solid basis for your further professional development.

You will be accompanied by an experienced team, regular training and continuous supervision. At the same time, you will be able to contribute to research and teaching and develop your own scientific priorities.

These are your tasks:

• Stationary and outpatient care and care of patients with nephrological and general-internalistic diseases
• cooperation in the service system of the Klinik für Innere Medizin III including standby services
• Active participation of internal continuing and continuing training
• Participation in student teaching
• Possibility to participate in scientific projects and research activities
• Interdisciplinary cooperation with the various departments and professional groups

• Approbation as a doctor (m/w/d)
• Angested or already begun specialist training in internal medicine or in the focus of internal medicine and nephrology
• Great interest in nephrology and modern renal replacement methods and transplant medicine
• Pleasure of interdisciplinary cooperation and professional exchange
• Empathy and pronounced communication skills in dealing with patients and relatives
• Responsibility, flexibility and resilience
• Very good German knowledge (at least C1 level)
