Anamnese collection and investigation of blood, plasma, thrombocyte and stem cell donors Medical care of the blood donors before/after the donation Activities in the transfusion medical fields of pharmaceutical production, terminology, risk and quality management Preparation of blood products (full blood collection and further processing, plasma/thrombocytaphereses, autologous and allogeneous stem cell donation) Working with the establishment of innovative production methods for improving blood safety (pathogen inactivation) and the establishment of a leukarye unit for cell therapy applications (e.g. CAR-T cells) Activity in all areas of immunohematological and transfusion medical diagnostics with medical interpretation and commentary of laboratory findings Examination and evaluation of side effects in the context of hemotherapy Consiliary consultations of the medical staff of the clinics of our catchment area in 24 hours Service Active cooperation in interdisciplinary projects During training in the field of transfusion medicine: You will get to know all areas of transfusion medicine during your training You will learn comprehensive immunohaematological diagnostics for supplying blood products to patients With advanced training active participation in medical reputation as well as in the advice of hospitals as part of quality assurance hemotherapy As a specialist for transfusion medicine: You are responsible for medicinal products as a specialist and, if necessary, as a management of the production or management of quality control or their representation After successful incorporation, you take responsibility for a functional area of the institute (e.g. laboratory or production)
