IT Configuration Manager (m/w/d)

Configuration Management is not only managing, but actively contributing: This specialist role within our service operation team focuses on the joint construction of a reliable CMDB in ServiceNow. The CMDB creates transparency about IT services, systems and technical dependencies. It thus forms an important basis for stable IT operation and daily work in service management. The role connects Configuration Management with the operational service management and works closely with Service Operations, Infrastructure, Application Management, ITSM and ServiceNow Application Management.

Design and continuous development of the CMDB in ServiceNow together with the participating IT teams structuring of Configuration Items, Attributes and Technical Relations for a comprehensible image of the IT landscape Common definition of standards, care processes, quality requirements and responsibilities Continuous improvement of quality, timeliness and completeness of CMDB data Development of appropriate quality indicators and regular checks and reviews Integration of existing data sources and support in the automation of data imports and updates Coordination of technical requirements for CMDB with the ServiceNow Application Management Further development of CMDB as a usable basis for incident, problem, change, request and asset management Advising the teams involved in the collection, maintenance and use of configuration data Working in the Service Operations Team with complex disruptions, changes, maintenance measures and other operational issues that require information about IT services, configuration items and technical dependencies Creation and maintenance of the technical and technical documentation required for Configuration Management and CMDB New ideas and joint development of Configuration Management after ITIL

Ideally completed IT vocational training, study of computer science or business informatics or a comparable qualification Alternatively relevant practical professional experience in IT operation, IT service management or in an adjacent field of expertise Experience in dealing with a CMDB, an ITSM system, technical data structures or comparable solutions Good understanding of IT infrastructures, applications and technical contexts Experience in Configuration Management, IT Asset Management, IT Operations or IT Service Management desirable knowledge of ServiceNow of advantage, but no compelling requirement Knowledge in ITIL, CSDM, Discovery, Service Mapping, Data Imports or Interfaces helpful Structured and analytical methods and joy in developing a comprehensible overall picture from different information Communication strength and interest in cooperation with different IT teams Very good German knowledge and good English skills
