As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With over 7,000 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. Senior Engineer Network Automation (m/w/d) from now on and in full time in Berlin, Munich, Nuremberg or Rheinbach. We ensure the communication between our customers and ourselves. We are an important and large area of expertise within the BWI and are structured in services (LAN/WLAN, WAN, Security and RAS). In our PoD2 Network department we have full responsibility for how these services are designed and developed. Strategically important decisions for the NETWORK are elaborated here. Here we choose hard and software, develop and test designs, develop improvements of the existing network and continue to build up the challenges of tomorrow with innovative technologies.

Responsibility for the automation and execution of release tests in the WAN environment with focus on Nokia, Cisco or SINA Responsibility for the administration of an automation solution including the implementation of the Troubleshooting Take over the problem management, including the second level support for the automation solution Working with the creation of technical concepts and continuous improvement of WAN services Support in WAN service development and design specifications as well as in projects with network reference

Completed studies or comparable training in the IT environment About 5 years of relevant professional experience and very good knowledge of network technologies, topologies and services Knowledge in the environment of test automation and programming languages (e.g. Python, PyATS or Ansible) as well as products from Cisco, Nokia or Secunet Empathy, good communication and team skills, an analytical mindset, readiness to learn as well as an independent, careful and targeted way of working German language skills in word and writing and a secure understanding of English
