Head of Risk Management & Internal Control System (ICS) (m/f/d)

In this function, you have a significant impact on the further development of central control mechanisms of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and actively shape the governance structures of one of the leading organisations for application-oriented research. Their tasks include in particular: Technical and disciplinary leadership of the department as well as strategic further development of responsibility Total responsibility for design, operation and further development of the risk management system (RMS) and the internal control system (IKS) Control and further development Fraunhofer-further processes along the governance loops in the RMS and IKS (including scoping, risk analysis, control evaluation, reporting and continuous improvement) Responsibility for the creation and assessment of decision-relevant reports for the Executive Board and central bodies Advising institutions and central units on risk and control issues and ensuring a uniform implementation Control of measures to improve the process and control quality of the RMS and IKS as well as monitoring internal and external audits Representation of the department to internal and external stakeholders at top management level

Completed academic studies in economics or comparable discipline Long-term professional experience in risk management, internal control system (IKS), audit or comparable field Multiannual management practice and the pronounced ability to control complex organisational units Deep understanding of business management mechanisms and relevant regulatory requirements Insights into the conception and implementation of governance and control systems in complex organisations Impressed analytical and conceptual skills as well as a high degree of decision-making security, integrity, sense of responsibility and enforcement Very good communication and presentation skills, especially at top management and committee level
