To strengthen the development team, we are looking for an experienced development engineer (m/w/d) in the field of power electronics with a focus on medium-voltage converters or modular multilevel converters (MMC).

You develop medium-voltage inverters with special focus on modular multilevel converters (MMC) for industrial applications in the 36-kV range You take over the system and component dimensioning of power-electronic assemblies (semiconductors, cooling, passive components, etc.) You conduct theoretical system analyses and accompany tests, qualifications and type tests. You drive forward the industrialization of existing concepts and ensure reliability, compliance with standards and design-to-cost You take on (partial) project responsibility within a complex development project with multiple work packages In the initial project phase, you will accompany commissioning and validation You work closely with internal specialists (control technology, PLC, FPGA) as well as external partner institutes

You have completed your studies in electrical engineering, energy engineering or a comparable technical focus You provide a relevant industry experience in power electronics You either have experience in the industrial development of medium-voltage inverters (≥ 3 kV) or have well-founded expertise in the field of modular multilevel converters (MMC) You possess theoretical and practical knowledge in the design of performance electronic systems Ideally, you have experience in the field of insulation coordination in the medium-voltage environment You work structured, binding and with clear quality standards You speak fluent German and English
