About us ZEISS SMT is a leading provider of semiconductor technology solutions. Our process and product data management department plays a decisive role in the optimization and further development of the processes necessary for the production of these challenging products. In order to further advance the digital transformation of SMT, we are looking for a dedicated system architect and system developer who supports us in providing innovative and generalizable IT and SW solutions.

They design and implement scalable IT solutions that provide a comprehensive overview of our processes and products

combine data management and software architecture to form a functional unit

They analyze, visualize and optimize complex process flows with the aim of imaging these IT-sides automatable and industrializable

They support the operation and further development of our data integration and data analysis platforms

They work actively in projects and bring fresh ideas to continuous improvement

You have a very good university degree in computer science or a related area, ideally supplemented by a doctorate

They have sound knowledge and at least basic experience in software architecture and development, in particular for modular systems (both on-premise, and cloud-based)

You can act securely in the Azure cloud and are versed in handling Python; Additional knowledge in Matlab and/or C# is advantageous

You can gain first experience in designing and implementing relational databases (SQL) as well as in optimizing ETL processes

They show a pronounced customer and product orientation, see the value of software and IT in support of real processes and are thrilled by the continuous improvement of the imaged specialist processes

You can communicate effectively and addressably in German and English
