The Department of Surgery includes the Clinic for General and Visceral Surgery, the Clinic for Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery, the Clinic for Plastics and Hand Surgery and the Clinic for Urology. The organizational independent clinic for anaesthesiology and intensive care is associated with the department and is also part of your commercial responsibility. For all clinics of your area of responsibility, you take over the business consulting, planning and budget management as well as the responsibility for the economic development of results in close coordination with the respective medical director. the management of the economic development of the clinics on the basis of relevant performance, revenue, cost and earnings indicators, as well as the derivation and implementation of suitable measures for the sustainable improvement of earnings the operational planning and control of the respective hospital budget and the economic use of the available human, spatial and technical resources in coordination with the respective medical directors the strategic development and orientation of the clinics of the department and its portfolio of services, together with the medical directors, as well as the evaluation of development potentials and new services from a medical and economic perspective the analysis and control of performance development, capacity utilisation, revenue potentials and profitability as a basis for strategic and operational decisions close and trusted cooperation with the central administration areas the economically and medically useful use of common resources, in particular OP capacities, beds, rooms and medical technology, in coordination with the respective medical directors the initiation and control of cross-departmental and cross-departmental projects for structural and process optimization with a special focus on efficiency, productivity, quality and digitalization the creation of transparency on the economic and operational development of the Department's clinics, the further development of suitable control instruments, and the preparation of strategic decisions for departmental and hospital executives further development of decentralized commercial structures and competencies

Master or Diploma degree of an economic studies, preferably with a focus on health management multi-year leadership and management experience in hospital or healthcare knowledge of hospital financing as well as a very good understanding of performance, revenue, costs and results Experience in business planning, controlling, economic analysis and strategic business development the ability to derive concrete strategic and operational measures from key figures and analyses and to consistently pursue their implementation Experience in controlling complex change, structure and optimization projects entrepreneurial thinking, decision-making and the ability to combine different medical, nursing and economic interests high communication and enforcement capability, as well as a sovereign appearance towards different professional groups and management levels
