At the Deich in the SOS Children's Village Bremen, eight children from the age of 7 to 15 years old accompany you in a protected, lively home with a large garden, studio and exercise room. As part of a dedicated ten-person team, you will create reliable relationships in the 24-hour service, take care of reference and work in partnership with parents – with heart, structure and space for each individual child. Together with the team, You design and organize the everyday life of the children from 6 years to create a family, secure atmosphere. You actively participate in education and assistance planning and their targeted implementation. Through your educational work, you are specifically promoting the independence of children, including through the use of equity instruments. For children and adolescents, you are a stable, reliable reference person who is motivated, comforted, negotiated, supported and initiated – even in challenging situations you always keep an overview. You maintain a trusted and reliable relationship work and work with the families and the social environment of the children. You are conscientiously implementing the guidelines of the protection of children and persons.

You have a degree as an educator or a university degree as a social education teacher. Ideally, you have (first) professional experience in pedagogical work with children and/or in a stationary offer of youth assistance. Team skills and commitment are yours. You possess the ability to work independently. You can rely on relationships with children and young people and are also able to deal with conflicts and behavioural vulnerabilities to creative and constructive solutions.
