The Salzburger Landeskliniken occupy the position of a general practitioner/specialist for hygiene and microbiology as a hospital hygienist (w/m/d) for the University Hospital Salzburg (Location LKH/CDK).

As head of the hospital hygiene at the University Hospital of Salzburg, you will ensure the high quality of the hygiene standards of the University Hospital in all clinical departments, institutes and other hygiene-relevant areas (e.g. hospital kitchen). You control the strategic and operational prevention of infection and contribute decisively to the sustainable protection and further development of clinical care quality.

The Department of Hospital Hygiene is assigned to the University Institute of Clinical Microbiology and Hygiene. The management of the hospital hygiene has a right to provide instructions to the staff assigned to the hospital hygiene and is responsible for the management of the institute. The management of the hospital hygiene will report their reports directly to the medical directorate of the university hospital in all hygiene matters. As part of the task, the management of the hygiene team and overall responsibility of the hospital hygiene agendes of the University Hospital Salzburg regarding:

• Hospital hygiene work instructions and regulations
• Department and area-specific hygiene guidelines
• Hygiene plans
• Infection surveillance
• Prevention and outbreak management of nosocomial infections
• Advising the clinic management and management areas with regard to:
• Selection of household and consumer goods with medical relevance
• Treatment of medical devices
• Cleaning and disinfection procedures

According to the medical career model of the Salzburger Landeskliniken, an entry-relevant development option is possible in this job invitation. The minimum salary is 7,207,30 EUR gross based on full-time (14 x annual). The actual classification is obtained taking into account the time taken by the specialist service. .
