Team Lead Data Engineering Marketing (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Data Engineering team lead (m/f/d) to lead a team of engineers responsible for building and maintaining the data foundations that power our marketing, commercial, and analytics domains. This role combines people leadership with hands-on technical depth in Python, SQL, and modern data practices engineering.

You will ensure the team delivers high-quality, scalable data pipeline and models, effective with cross-functional partners, and operates with strong ownership and engineering excellence. Your responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Data Engineers, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture Own the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines supporting B2C marketing, B2B marketing, and commercial domains Promote best practices in data architecture, data modeling, testing, and observability Provide hands-on technical guidance and review complex Python, SQL, and dbt implementations when needed Ensure reliable and scalable data flows across tracking, attribution, customer journeys, and performance reporting Collaborate closely with Analytics, Data Science, Marketing, Product, and Commercial Teams to translate business needs into robust data solutions Drive continuous improvements in data quality, cost efficiency, and engineering standards

Proven experience leading and developing Data Engineers (first-line management), combined with a strong hands-on background in Python, SQL, and modern data practices Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and orchestration tools, including technologies such as Python, SQL, dbt, Airflow, AWS (S3, Lambda), Redshift or similar data warehouses, Kafka or other event-driven systems, and Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. Terraform) Familiarity with marketing and data commercial sources such as GA4, Adjust, or comparable tools is a strong advantage Ability to build and operate stable, scalable, and well-tested data pipelines and high-quality data models with strong documentation and observability Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling trusted collaboration with Marketing, Product, Commercial, Analytics, and Data Teams Demonstrated focus on continuous improvement in data, reliability, cost efficiency, and overall engineering maturity
