For our team of electronics development / construction, we are looking for a dedicated development engineer (m/w/x) for optical high-speed connection technology with a focus on measuring technology, which contributes with its expertise and creativity to the further development of innovative solutions in the field of optical data transmission between “Embedded Electronics” and control units for opto-mechatronic modules.

Design, development and design of optical connection systems and components, including glass fiber lines and connectors

Integration of optical data transmission elements into complex electronic systems such as “Embedded Electronics”

Implementation of simulations to validate the performance of optical transmission systems

Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, specifications and test reports

close cooperation with interdisciplinary teams, including hardware and software developers, to develop integrated solutions up to standard maturity

Support in the certification of new developments in cooperation with external test houses

a completed study of mechatronics, electrical engineering, physics, photonics or optical engineering

3 - 5 years of experience in optical connection technology, in particular in the handling of glass fiber and optical measurement technology, ideally in the field of high speed data exchange as well as experience in the use of laser technologies

practical experience in the development and implementation of optical systems, in particular in the field of optical fiber connections

Experience in cooperation with external service providers, ideally in the context of connecting technology

high level of initiative and team work as well as very good communication skills, especially to customers and suppliers

very good German and English language skills (both C1 level)
