(Senior) Manager Automation & IT (m/f/d)

Your core tasks are: Professional and strategic leadership of the overall topics Automation, IT and Digitization (3 employees) Development of the automation roadmap and definition of control standards, PLC/HMI software guidelines, versioning (e.g. via Git) and the technical system architecture. Control of central IT and business system projects with focus on Sage/ERP, SharePoint, Power BI, Meri DB and data quality. Build and support a reliable security, backup and monitoring concept including training offers for relevant systems. Coordination of legal requirements from the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) for connected machines and products. Development of the AI strategy and implementation of practical AI projects with measurable benefits for service, engineering, product management and operations. Development of IoT and connectivity solutions for machines and product lines. Interface management between internal departments, external IT and automation service providers and Voith Group IT. Prioritizing the project portfolio and ensuring clear responsibilities, deadlines, budgets and decision-making. Your target line for the first 6–12 months: We want to create transparency from the outset. We assess your success in this role by following themes: A co-ordinated roadmap for automation, IT and digitization stands. For Sage/ERP and data quality projects, transparent governance structures, solid leaders and milestones are established. Automation standards, PLC/HMI guidelines and versioning processes are structured. Fundamentals for cybersecurity, monitoring and CRA requirements are clearly defined and implemented. First AI and digitization initiatives are prioritized and focused on specific business use cases.

Complete studies or a comparable qualification in automation technology, electrical engineering, computer science, industrial engineering or a similar field. Multiannual experience in the management of automation/controls and IT and digitization projects in machine or plant engineering. Found understanding of PLC/HMI, industrial communication, interface and data architectures, ERP systems and foundations of cybersecurity. Tested practice in project priority, service provider control, stakeholder management and monitoring of change processes. Pragmatic hand-on mentality paired with a strategic view for standardization, scalability and risk minimization. Very good knowledge of German and/or English.
