Behave now as Senior Data Engineer (m/d) for the team Data Analytics of Asklepios Service IT GmbH at the Hamburg site in full time and indefinitely for support in one of our most important projects, the Health Data Hub. With the HDH we develop the central medical data platform on the basis of which we want to bring data-driven decision-making support to everyday clinical life.

An important part of your work is: The design, construction and operation of scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes in the Microsoft Azure Cloud. The development and optimization of data processing processes with Azure Databricks. The integration, transformation and harmonisation of data from different sources. The creation of high-performance and high-quality data models for PowerBI reports and dashboards. You develop ideas for how we can achieve added value for our patients with new technologies such as machine learning, data mining or AI and actively seek to exchange with the specialist areas for this. As a knowledge provider, you support the exchange among specialist experts and visualize the interface between customers, integration teams and service providers and support the mentoring of younger colleagues. You want to drive the digitalization of the healthcare industry with us! You like to shape things and introduce new ideas, like changes and share our hands-on mentality with us! To do this, you will bring a completed (specialized) degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science or comparable training as well as several years of professional experience in comparable data engineer positions. You have very good knowledge of the Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform and corresponding components (such as ADSL). You are versed in dealing with common extraction and integration methods and tools. You are experienced in data modeling in Databricks and other tools and data provision for Power BI. You have extensive experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code but also in the use of Apache NIFI and Aiflow. Finded programming experience in the relevant programming languages for data transformation and processing (e.g. R, Python, PySpark, SQL, etc.) complete your profile. The handling of health data, hospital information and medical specialist systems and interfaces e.g. FHIR or openEHR stimulates you. You think agile and have the ability to prepare and communicate complex issues in a customer- and address-oriented manner. Analytical and conceptual skills characterize you and as a team player you offer a high degree of flexibility, communication and enforcement strength. You like working in the team, being reliable and being able to organize yourself well.
