You develop technical concepts for ship equipment on the basis of customer requirements and keep them comprehensible in technical documents. On the basis of these concepts, you define systems and individual components and take into account applicable rules and technical requirements. Construction and order specifications are created, tested and developed by you, so that a smooth implementation is possible in the equipment of the systems on board. You evaluate offers from subcontractors from a technical point of view and support sound decision-making processes. Together with subcontractors, you accompany the detailed construction of complete systems and ensure that all requirements are met. Depending on the project, you take over the detailed construction of individual components and create the associated production documents. The integration of the systems into the ship system is carried out in close coordination with other disciplines, in particular at technical interfaces. You create design and test documents and accompany technical tests as well as evidence. The current technical status of your area of responsibility is clearly documented and communicated by you. Optionally, you enter your knowledge in structural and strength calculations, for example by FEM calculations including evaluation and documentation of the results.
