My client is a technically shaped medium-sized company with over 1,750 employees at more than 40 locations in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands. For more than 45 years, the company has been standing for stability, technical excellence and a family-based corporate culture. In the fields of engineering, plant engineering and technical services, the employer is one of the established sizes - with a clear growth strategy and a high demand for quality and reliability. At the heart of the organization is the internal IT department with currently 22 colleagues. She manages all locations centrally, works technology-driven and consistently focuses on sustainable solutions. The infrastructure is hybrid: Two central data centers form the backbone, complemented by cloud-based tools and modern system architectures. A strategic expansion towards Microsoft 365 is currently underway, with the aim of digitizing processes, improving cooperation and making internal services more efficient. The focus is on the introduction of a company-wide SharePoint platform - as a central element for communication, automation and document management. This role has been created in order to anchor the subject in the company in a sustainable manner. Previous tasks have been partially covered by external service providers, such as the first system configuration or the provision of prototypes. Now the structure is to be driven forward internally and operated in the long term - with you as a central impulse generator:in. From the very beginning, you will create the new SharePoint online environment: from architecture to introduction to continuous development. You work closely with the IT management and internal stakeholders, define standards and actively accompany the platform into everyday business. Areas and key users benefit from your know-how, advice and your structured approach. You take responsibility, but at the same time you get the back cover of a team with direct access to decision-makers. The operation in the company is open, solution-oriented and team-based.
