The (Lead) Application Engineering Expert – Connectors (m/w/d) for product launch acts as a primary technical interface between the departments of LEONI and LUXSHARE and ensures seamless integration of new products into the European and American markets. This position requires a profound understanding of the product portfolio and performance as well as the ability to effectively communicate and implement customer requirements and needs. Main tasks Development and introduction of new products with subsequent adoption of the role as internal technical manager possible Ensuring compliance between customer requirements and market standards Main contact partner for OEMs and Tier 1 customers, presentation of new products and solutions and answering technical requests Active product promotion and development of new market opportunities by focusing on unique features such as price, sustainability and materials Monitoring the product qualification process, including cost and resource management, and ensuring compliance with EU/NA standards and specifications Promoting effective communication between EU/US customers and LEONI/LUXSHARE through the communication of requirements and wishes/needs Close cooperation with VAVE and other internal departments Implementation of comprehensive market and customer analyses to identify trends and opportunities, and implementation of benchmarking and total cost analyses (TCO)
Technical and scientific studies (e.g. fields of physics, mechatronics, precision engineering or mechanical engineering) At least 5 years of experience in the automotive industry connector sector Multiannual experience in controlling and processing series development projects (preferably in the automotive industry) High level of entrepreneurial thinking and acting, customer orientation, empathy, communication and contact skills as well as mobility An independent, motivated personality with a passion for learning and collaboration across different functions and locations
