The Südharz Klinikum Nordhausen gGmbH is a hospital of supra-regional care with around 800 beds and 26 specialist departments. We are an academic teaching hospital of the University Hospital Jena. The clinic has a central surgery with 12 halls and connected wake-up room, a modern emergency shot, highly upgraded X-ray diagnostics as well as two intensive stations and is very well equipped with a hybrid OP hall and 2 DaVinci OP robots.

In the Central Emergency Care Centre (ZNA), we are looking for a specialist with additional clinical acute and emergency medicine or a specialist who has the goal of obtaining additional training. (Wünchenwert, but not mandatory, the presence of additional training is emergency medicine for participation in the ground-bound rescue service.)

More than 30,000 patients are treated annually in the Central Emergency Hospital (ZNA) of the South Resin Clinic and are additionally supplied with up to 10 patients at the Short Care Unit (SCU). This is located in the immediate vicinity of the ZNA. We carry out comprehensive emergency care in Level 3 emergency care status. Our medical team consists of 5 doctors and currently 2 training assistants. Chief physician Julian Gonschorrek has the full-scale training authorization to obtain additional training Clinical acute and emergency medicine. There is also the possibility of two-year training in the field of internal medicine. The training author of the Nordhausen County for the additional name of emergency medicine is also active in the ZNA.

The Südharz Klinikum is certified as a supra-regional trauma center and it can be supplied with the rescue helicopter Christoph 37 of the Deutsche Luftrettung, seriously injured patients in in interdisciplinary cooperation. Several shock rooms with immediately available radiological diagnostics including computer tomography are available. In the ZNA modern ultrasound devices are available and in close cooperation with the radiologists, the imaging emergency diagnostics can be carried out quickly on 2 magnetic resonance tomographs and 2 computer tomographs.
