Short presentation and your tasks The care team of the Stroke Unit provides patients with surveillance on 8 beds after an acute stroke. The neurological and neurosurgical emergency take-up with two treatment sites for which we are responsible is directly linked. On the one hand, the Stroke Unit is responsible for patients who are closely monitored after an acute stroke. They perform the activating and rehabilitating care. In addition, you advise the patients and their relatives and guide them into nursing activities. With the doctors and therapists you work closely together and are thus responsible for the success of our patients. In order for you to have time for the nursing activities, you will be supported at station by our case managers and central services for supply and logistics. In addition to the day of the station, the layered inserts in the associated emergency take-up offer you a change. There you provide acute neurological and neurosurgical emergencies. A central role here is the treatment of acute stroke patients. Then prepare everything necessary, so that the patient is accompanied directly by you and the doctor on arrival to the CT and can be initiated as quickly as possible a thrombolysis or thrombectomy.
