Consultant for scientific information services (20–25 hours)

To make our scientific results accessible on a broad scale, make sure that all publications are stored in the common databases (e.g. Scopus) and portals and can be found directly. As part of the publication support, you will inform our young scientists, support the selection of the right medium and carry out the necessary documentation processes. Depending on the needs of our employees, you will take care of the new acquisition, the loan and the provision of media. In doing so, conduct extensive research, complete necessary licensing and framework contracts and ensure the inclusion in our library catalogue. Through regular evaluations, you evaluate the need for license extensions or orders. In order for our employees to get more quickly to scientific publications, you design not only new processes, but also develop automatisms to simplify work steps. In addition, you will keep our employees informed about news in the field of publication processes.

Minimum qualifications: Completed training on/to specialist employees for media and information services from the department Library Very good knowledge of German and good English in word and writing for communication with our (international) employees Embossed service/service orientation with empathy and friendly appearance as well as practive problem-solving competence Required qualifications: Completed studies (Bachelor or FH Diploma) in library science, business informatics or a comparable degree course Embossed IT affinity especially in handling databases (SQL, Access) Fun at conceptual work for the further development of processes, for example the placement of a wiki First experience in a comparable professional environment, such as a city library, university library or research institutions

You have the opportunity to design your work area yourself and introduce your ideas.
